Donald F. Coats, Jr., JD, CPA, LLM.  “Donnie,” as he is known around the office, attended the University of San Diego School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor and Masters in Tax Law.  Mr. Coats’ undergraduate years were spent at the University of Northern Iowa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.  Following his graduation from UNI, Mr. Coats moved to Arizona where he sat for and passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Mr. Coats’ work experience has included being a member of the tax department of a well respected CPA firm, a lead attorney for a nationwide asset protection law firm, and the in-house legal counsel for a sizeable commercial and residential real estate corporation.  In addition to being a licensed attorney and CPA in Arizona, and a licensed attorney in Iowa, Mr. Coats holds an Arizona real estate license.

Surrounded by some of the world’s best golf courses as a result of moving to Arizona, Mr. Coats has become an avid golfer and enjoys hiking, fly fishing and running.  However, his life’s true pride and joy rests with his wife, Tracy, and their three children:  twin daughters Jordynn and Sienna, and son Logan.
